The Welsh Cider and Perry Festival 2018 at Caldicot Castle and Country Park
The 16th year of the Welsh Perry and Cider Festival was held over bank holiday weekend at Caldicot Castle. This event is now the flagship event of the Welsh Perry & Cider Society. This annual Welsh Perry & Cider Festival is the culmination and celebration of all the hard work that takes place across the industry throughout the year. The weekend delivered the full festival experience of great music, entertainment stalls, craft workshops and a wide selection of real Welsh perry and cider. Blaengawney Farm in Hafodyrynys is the home to the Welsh Perry & Cider Society office and Hallets Real Cider. The festival first came to Caldicot Castle for 2013. It was so successful that they just keep going back.
Katherine Fraser from Newport is photographed at the festival with her daughter Caitlin (16). Katherine said: “We have enjoyed a fabulous weekend of family fun. It has had great music and a lovely atmosphere.”
